Today a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was made available by developer Treyarch, just days after the game’s release. The update is version 33.12.15.1, and it is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The new update is quite interesting as the developer altered the spawn locations in the Free for All and Gun Game modes. Furthermore, several guns were either nerfed or buffed, meaning they were made weaker or made stronger.
The nerfed weapons were believed to be too overpowered. Still, not all nerfed guns will lose their impact strength; some might only have less ammunition in a single clip. The same can be said for buffed weapons where not all will gain stronger effect, but more ammo in a clip.
Unfortunately, Treyarch did not outline the changes made to each weapon, so players will have to use them to find out what has changed. Moreover, we expect someone to make the changes clear for everyone with a YouTube video.
The main reason Treyarch has chosen to update Black Ops 3 weapons so early is because the developer wants to increase the user experience for all players.
The developer also went on to add that they will not release patch notes for some future updates since these current changes are incremental. Additionally, Treyarch confirmed it is always working on critical updates for the game, and they will be released as soon as they are finished.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 6, 2015. The game is the first Call of Duty title from Treyarch for the new consoles. The game is deemed as the franchise’s savior since the last two games were not well received by fans and critics alike.
