‘Dragon Quest Heroes’ Anime RPG Headed To PCs On Dec. 3

The Heroes

An early Christmas present comes from game developer Square Enix in the form of Dragon Quest Heroes, with the title launching on PC via Steam.

Gamers waited for a good while for the hack and slash game to land on their platform, and now the PC variant of Dragon Quest Heroes: The Dark Dragon and the World Tree Castle finally arrived.

Other ecosystems, such as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, welcomed the game a while back. The console title arrived first in in Asia, while Europe and North America following suit some months ago.

Dragon Quest Heroes, or DQH for short, is a hack and slash type of game strongly reminiscent of the Dynasty Warriors title. Even if the JRPG elements are less prominent in the PC release, the game is part of the Dragon Quest universe.

“[The] exhilarating action game [is] filled with characters and monsters designed by world-renowned artist Akira Toriyama,” says Steam.

All DQH’s releases got good reviews overall, regardless of whether we refer to the PS4 or the Xbox One variant. Developer Square Enix, who seems to take a big interest in PC releases as of late, aims to repeat the DQH‘s success on the “master race” platform.

The pre-purchase offer of Dragon Quest Heroes the World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below on Steam at a price of $59.99 ends on Dec. 3. Preordering the game will yield a 10 percent trim off the initial price and will give you the Slime Edition as a bonus. If you’re wondering what does the Slime Edition contain, the answer is “only” eleven Slime weapons and two additional maps.
