Huawei P9 Tipped To Launch In March 2016, Sporting ‘Curved Design’

According to a recent tip, Huawei might launch its flagship handset, the P9, as early as next year, featuring a 5.2-inch display and fingerprint sensor. The news comes less than a year after its previous high-end device, the P8, made an impression on the mobile market.

The Huawei P9, which apparently has the code name IP03, reportedly comes with the same display dimension as the P8, which had a 5.2-inch screen. The resolution of the next smartphone from the Chinese OEM is unknown, but it appears the P9 will sport a “curved design.” However, it is also prone to speculation whether the phone will bend or it will simply feature a curved display, such as the one on the Samsung S6 Edge.

Mobile-Dad goes on to mention that Huawei’s proprietary eight-core Kirin 950 CPU will give processing power to the new device, and it will get 4 GB of RAM to back it. The website states that the Huawei P9 will possibly feature advanced security systems such as a fingerprint sensor.

A dual-rear facing camera, equipped with laser auto focus technology, should come to aid those who love snapping photos with their phones. In October, another leak hinted at the possibility that the Huawei P9 would host a dual-cam on its back.

In Nov. 2015, a leak on Weibo affirmed that the Huawei P9 will be a source of envy for a lot of Android handsets. The reason for this is that it will feature the Marshmallow OS out of the box.

Rumors claimed that Huawei P9 Max, a larger variant of the Huawei P9, is also in the works. The Huawei P9 Max is believed to have a generous 6.2-inch Quad HD display.

Unofficial information underlines that the smartphone could sport a 2560 x 1600p resolution.

The report concludes that the two Huawei P9 models might be released separately. However, the company did not make any official comments regarding the leaked information.
