India Funding Roundup: PepperTap, TruckMandi, Obino, CBREX, KOOH Sports

PepperTap
Gurgaon-based hyperlocal grocery delivery service PepperTap has reportedly closed its Series B round of funding with an additional $4 million (roughly Rs. 26.5 crores) from Innoven Capital. PepperTap hadrecently raised $36 million from Snapdeal, with participation from existing investors Sequoia India and SAIF Partners, and new investors like Ru-net, JAFCO, and BeeNext.

Truckmandi
Delhi-based Truckmandi, an online platform that connects businesses to freight transport providers has reportedly raised around $2 million (roughly Rs. 13.3 crores) in pre-Series A funding from JustEat India founder Ritesh Dwivedy and other investors. Founded in 2015 by Anurag Jain, Ankit Singh, and Nishant Singh, the startup reportedly does trips worth Rs. 1 crore a month, month and claims to be growing at about 30 percent monthly.

Obino
Obino, an app-based weight loss coaching platform owned an operated by Delhi-based Manna Healthcare Pvt. Ltd has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount in its seed round from US-based venture capital fund RoundGlass Partners. Obino charges between Rs. 499 and Rs. 1,499, for personalised diet and fitness plans, and claims to have 10,000 users with over 500 paid clients.

CBREX
Mumbai-based, cross-border hiring platform CBREX has reportedly raised around $200,000 (roughly Rs. 1.3 crores) in an angel round by diluting 10 percent of its equity. The website claims to host 232 member firms from 51 countries, with 57 open jobs at the time of writing.

KOOH Sports
Mumbai-based sports education startup KOOH Sports has reportedly raised $2 million (roughly Rs. 13.2 crores) in funding. Founded in 2010, the startup has enrolled over 200,000 students, with tie ups from over 150 schools in 35 cities.
