The Gold Nexus 6P can already be yours… but be ready to splurge if you want to get ahold of it.

It wasn’t too long ago when Google, in collaboration with Huawei, took the veil off the Nexus 6P, along with its smaller sibling, LG’s Nexus 5X.

In most markets, the Nexus 6P is available in three color options, Graphite, Frost and Aluminum. However, a Gold special edition of the phone arrived in Japan earlier this month. The device sold like hotcakes upon release, but the phone was also back in stock within 24 hours.

Recently, speculations surfaced that the Gold variant could be sold as well in the U.S. exclusively through Best Buy.

But those who are excited to get their hands on this Gold variant can already buy one now on eBay. However, you need to fork out $1,999.99 for this special edition phone.

The eBay seller is promising free shipping in the U.S for the brand new phone. The seller says it is compatible with networks in countries such as the U.S., Germany, Australia, UK, Canada and Japan.

However, should the phone land in the U.S. soon, it is anticipated to have the same price as other Nexus 6P variants as it comes with similar specs.

It is rumored that the Gold variant will be announced at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas on Jan. 5. As such, even though the eBay seller seems to have a good reputation, it might be wiser to wait a little more for the announcement.

The Nexus 6P is deemed a premium smartphone, packing in a striking metal design and powerful specifications. Needless to say, the handset runs on Google’s most recent Android operatng system, Marshmallow, a feature which makes the phone stand out from other handsets in the overcrowded market for smartphones.

It received highly positive reviews from experts and smartphone enthusiasts, collecting praises for the quality of its components and its performance.
