Samsung Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Leaked Schematics Reveal Size, Larger Displays And More Details

Samsung Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Schematics

In case you were wondering how big the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are going to be, a new report reveals the exact dimensions of both devices, including display sizes and how their new builds compare with the Galaxy S6 line.

We recently reported that sources have claimed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which are expected to be unveiled on Feb. 21, will share a nearly identical design to those of their predecessors, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The news isn’t much of a surprise, considering the company was widely praised for the premium glass and metal design introduced with its current flagship smartphones.

If new images of leaked schematics of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are to be believed, the company has made changes to the design and display sizes when compared with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

According to the report, Samsung has decided to differentiate the Galaxy S7 Edge from the S7 by packing in a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge display on the smartphone, while the Galaxy S7 will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch screen. Both displays are larger than the 5.1-inch screens gracing the S6 and S6 Edge.

The report also suggests that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will no longer have protruding rear cameras, and the S7 will have a curved rear case to make the smartphone feel more comfortable in the hand, compared with the flat rear of the Galaxy S6.

The schematics show the Samsung Galaxy S7 will share the same dimensions (70.5 mm by 143 mm) of the Galaxy S6, even though it will ship with a larger display. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S7 Edge will reportedly measure (73 mm by 151 mm).

As with all reports of highly-anticipated and unannounced devices, take these Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge schematics with a grain of salt for now. We’ll keep you posted on any new information regarding both smartphones.
