‘Uncharted 4’ Beta Ready To Launch: How To Get It And What To Expect

Uncharted 4 Beta

PlayStation 4 owners are the first to see how the latest installment of the Uncharted series looks and feels like, as the multiplayer beta is finally ready to roll out.

Game developer Naughty Dog stated earlier this year that PS4 owners will get the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta before the official release that is to take place on March 18, 2016.

Previous rumors placed launch of the Uncharted 4 beta on Dec. 4, but a surprising Tweet from PlayStation Europe shows that the game will go live one day earlier.

It is very likely that United States players will get access to the beta on Dec. 4, due to the time-zone difference.

Gamers should keep in mind that the final version of the beta will differ from the early release version, as Naughty Dog aims to make improvements and updates over the whole duration of the testing period.

The multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4 ends on Dec. 13, but maybe the developers will surprise everyone with an extended period for Christmas. So far, the Dec. 13 is the official date of when the testing period stops.

Just to clarify, the Uncharted 4 beta does not offer the content of the full PS4 game. It is an early variant of the multiplayer mode that will be released alongside the campaign mode in March next year.

Here are some of the things gamers will enjoy in the multiplayer beta: the content is quite slender, with two new maps which accompany only one game mode. There are time and kill limits of 12 minutes and 35 kills, respectively. What is more, Naughty Dog confirmed that the progress of the beta will be erased when the official title goes live.

Players will not spawn randomly, but the developers did not say what elements will influence it. Gamers can equip a maximum of three sidekicks simultaneously. However, only one sidekick can spawn at a time. You may use relics to buy items in the out-of-match store. Beta points, which are earned while playing, can be spent during the testing period to unlock new sidekicks and weapons.

The full array of content appears on the list from DualShockers.

For those of you eager to get the multiplayer beta, all you need is the Nathan Drake Collection for PS4. The bundle ships with reworked Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3. The card included in the box has instructions that guide the player to obtaining the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta.

Just insert the Nathan Drake Collection disc into the PlayStation 4, go to the highlighted game icon, click on Overview, then select the “download Uncharted 4 beta” option.

Users who stacked their PS4s with games might want to clean up a bit of the old titles, as the Uncharted 4 beta multiplayer is quite a download. The game will take up 7 GB of space on your console.
