Several Games with Gold titles are now available for free on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Starting today, Xbox One players can get Knight Squad andDungeon Siege III, which will be available for Xbox 360 players.Dungeon Siege III will also be available to Xbox Live Gold members as a free download until Nov. 30.
All Xbox One games downloaded through Games with Gold will remain as a free playable content so long as the players get to keep their Xbox Live Gold subscription. With Xbox 360 games however, players get to keep the titles in their lifetime.
Knight Squad, which normally retails at $14.99, will remain as a free offer until Dec. 15. The game features a number of fun game modes that include Medieval soccer and Last Man Standing. Some of the weapons which players can use in the game include miniguns, laser guns as well as middle age-inspired weapons.
The game also launches with “Extra Chivalrous DLC” which brings four new game modes namely Serial Killer, Arms Race, Jail Break and Soul Hunter. There are also three more knights that are introduced: Sparkles, Shiny and Smoke. Players can get this add-on at the price of $4.99.
Dungeon Siege III, regularly priced at $19.99, is a game built under the collaboration between publisher Square Enix and developer Obsidian Entertainment. Some of its exciting features include an intuitive action gameplay, multiplayer capability, meaty story and RPG.
The free games were rolled out following the launch of Xbox One Backward Compatibility last week by Microsoft. This will allow players to enjoy Xbox 360 titles on Microsoft’s latest game console, the Xbox One. It also explains why players can enjoy the game Dungeon Siege III on Xbox One which was mentioned earlier. The action role-playing video game is one of the first Xbox 360 titles players can also enjoy on the Xbox One.
“Starting in November all future Games with Gold titles for Xbox 360 will be playable on Xbox One, giving Xbox One owners double the free games to play each month,” said Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson. “When Xbox One Backward Compatibility begins rolling out on November 12th, play multiplayer with your friends no matter which console they’re on and enjoy Xbox 360 games with the advanced features of your Xbox One, including Game DVR, Screenshots, and in-home streaming to Windows 10.”
First person puzzler game Pneuma: Breath of Life, originally retailed at $19.99, can also be downloaded by Xbox Live Gold members for free for the whole month of November.
