One talented Fallout 4 fan creates an incredibly bizarre rap music video for the post-apocalyptic RPG featuring the Super Mutant companion character known as Strong.
Fallout 4 modder and YouTuber UpIsNotJump is at it again, and this time around his creation for Bethesda’s retro-futuristic title is not only clever, but it is also quite bonkers. Using in-game assets, the Fallout 4 fan has put together a music video with the Super Mutant companion Strong spitting straight fire over a sparse beat that’s somewhat reminiscent of the tunes from the electro hip-hop group Whodini.
Interestingly enough, by drawing from Fallout 4‘s sound bank, UpIsNotJump sequenced hammering noises, click and blip sounds from the Pip-Boy, bleeps and bloops from sentry bots, as well as other effects to lay the groundwork for the track. On top of that, the YouTuber used other characters’ voices from the game to urge Strong into dropping bars about hammers, hunting rifles, and lasers.
While “Strong’s Song” itself is absolutely bananas, the actual footage found in the clip is also pretty strange, as there are multiple clones of the Super Mutant, the male version of the Sole Survivor dancing among Glowing Ones, and a disco-themed warehouse rave. Of course, explaining it does the oddness of UpIsNotJump’s creation no justice, so Fallout 4 fans would do well to check out the video below.
This isn’t the first rodeo for UpIsNotJump when it comes to making Fallout 4 related videos. As it happens, the YouTuber put together a Jason Bourne trailer remake a few days after it debuted at this year’s Super Bowl. Then, once Netflix gave its legions of users a sneak peek at Marvel’s second season about its character Matt Murdock, the Man Without Fear, the modder made a Daredeviltrailer recreation with materials from Bethesda’s action RPG.
The fact that UpIsNotJump and so many other modders have been able to diligently craft and create a slew of fan-made materials since Fallout 4‘s release back in November of last year is seriously impressive. However, since only PC gamers can take advantage of modding at the moment, players on other platforms undoubtedly feel left out of the fun. However, once Bethesda finally providesofficial mod support and the feature’s release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One fans, the community of creators is likely to grow, and the number of mods will surely skyrocket.
