Hitman Gets a Collector’s Edition

Hitman Gets a Collector's Edition

The newest eponymous entry in the stealth video game series Hitman will have a Collector’s Edition to boot, Square Enix announced on Thursday.

In a twist, the contents of the Collector’s Edition were decided upon by the Hitman fan community. It will retail for $139.99 (approximately Rs. 9,500) in the North American Square Enix store and will give you:

  • A digital download copy of the game
  • 10-inch statue of Agent 47 in the classic “Chessmaster” pose
  • A hardcover art book spanning 60 pages, curated by Hitman’s art director Jonathan Rowe
  • A red tie and clip set sported by Agent 47 himself
  • Premium Collector’s Edition packaging, as in the box itself

You can pre-order it if you live in North America, and will soon make its way eastward to the UK – GBP 109.99, approximately Rs. 10,700 – and Europe – EUR 139.99, approximately Rs. 10,300.

And if you do choose to fork over around Rs. 10,000, you will get assured access to the game’s beta version which serves a prequel for the game, coming to PlayStation 4 on February 12 and Microsoft Windows PCs the week after.

Earlier, Square Enix announced that it was converting the game into an episodic experience to ensure the “best possible foundation for this game and the future of Hitman”. If you’re happy just getting the digital download of the game, it’s already up for pre-order on Steam. While there’s no mention of the game on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store puts it at “coming soon” despite stating the release date of March 11, 2016 merely a line above.
