With the year coming to close, deal activity has tapered down to seed and angel level investments in startups engaged in online furniture rentals, online healthcare, networking platforms, news aggregators, and digital photography.
Canvera
Bengaluru-based online digital photography company Canvera, has reportedly raised Rs. 15 crores at a pre-money valuation of Rs. 75 crores from Info Edge. With its prior investments, Info Edge now reportedly owns 49 percent of the company, which provides a platform for hiring photographers, photo printing solutions, and a hosted website builder especially designed for photography.
Doctor Insta
Gurgaon-based mobile and Web telemedicine venture Doctor Insta has reportedly secured $500,000 (roughly Rs. 3.3 crores) in funding in its pre-series A round from BhrahmaX and other US-based angel investors. Doctor Insta hosts a wide range of medical professionals such as doctors paediatrics, psychology, diet, and nutrition specialists on its website, and apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Planet Gogo
Gurgaon-based mobile-focused news aggregator Planet Gogo has reportedly raised an undisclosed sum in a seed funding round by HT Media and North Base Media. The two-month old startup has over 10,000 downloads on Google Play for its mobile app, which provides mobile recharge points for unlocking and browsing news stories, aggregated from over 42 news sources.
Cityfurnish
Online furniture rental startup Cityfurnish has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount of seed round funding from Jitendra Gupta, co-founder at Citrus Pay. Operational since 2015, the startup, founded by Neerav Jain, currently operates in the Delhi NCR region, and lets users choose their own package. Payments, which include a refundable security deposit, can be made online or on a cash on delivery basis.
Kolabro
Gurgaon-based Kolabro, a technology platform for real estate brokers, has reportedly raised an undisclosed sum in an angel funding round. Kolabro provides tools for brokers to connect with their network, generate leads and also creates websites for the brokerage business owners. Kolbaro provides an app on Google Play for real estate brokers and agents, and reportedly has a user base of over 5,000 brokers in the Delhi NCR region.
