OnePlus 2 Starts Receiving OxygenOS 2.2.0 Update With Several Fixes

The OnePlus 2 from Monday started receiving an over-the-air (OTA) update to OxygenOS 2.2.0. The Chinese company however noted that the update rollout will be gradual and thus will take some time to reach all users. Users can manually check for the new update availability by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates on their OnePlus 2.

The OyxgenOS 2.2.2 update for the OnePlus 2 smartphone fixes dual SIM preference selection issues in settings; adds NTFS and exFAT support for OTG; fixes Google Camera photo-sphere and panorama bugs, and also brings screen temperature adjust options directly from quick settings.

Some of the other features that the latest update brings for the handset include an added hide search bar option in launcher settings and new holiday wallpapers. The OxygenOS 2.2.0 update also brings security patches, general bug fixes, and optimisations.

The latest update comes almost a month after the OxygenOS 2.1.2 update was released for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X smartphones. We can expect a similar update to rollout to the OnePlus X in coming days.

Late last month, OnePlus X also started receiving the OxygenOS 2.1.3 OTA update that focused on improving the user experience with SD cards, brought security patches, and more.

Earlier this month, the OnePlus 2 (Review) went on sale invite-free in India ‘forever’. The smartphone is available exclusively via Amazon India.
