Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini Image and Specs Leaked By Online Retailer Ahead Of Launch

Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini

With only weeks to go before the unveiling of the Galaxy S7, Samsung isn’t quite finished with its S6 series yet. A listing for the Galaxy S6 Mini has made an appearance on a retailer’s website with a complete rundown of the specs expected to be on board when it’s officially announced.

Samsung has never shied away from squeezing as many variants from its flagship S series Galaxy smartphones as possible. The company has traditionally released smaller ‘mini and tough and rugged ‘active/sport’ models in order to appeal to users who prefer smaller handsets, while the ‘active/sport’ devices are catered to users who want extra protection, water, and dust resistance, in addition to health specific related software.

Soon after the release of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in April, rumors began to circulate that the company was preparing to follow up its new Galaxy S6 series with both a Galaxy S6 Mini and Galaxy S6 Active.

While the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active went on sale in June, and AT&T lately launched a new 64 GB option of the smartphone, but its smaller sibling, the Galaxy S6 Mini seemed to completely drop off the radar. It looks like things are about to change, as the smartphone has made an appearance on a UAE-based online retailer’s website.

LetsTango has a new page dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini. The website posted the image and provided a rundown of the smartphone’s reported specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini looks like a shrunken down Galaxy S6 and features a 4.6-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display and will be powered by a 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB on internal storage, and will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini will reportedly pack in a 15-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies.

While Samsung hasn’t officially announced the Galaxy S6 Mini, the retailer is taking preregistrations for preorders of the smartphone. We’ll keep you posted on any details as they become available.
